I want to go back there someday..

...back to the wide open spaces and the bright blue skies of summertime. Anyone care to join me?

Also, I found this photo today, I thought it was interesting how the Queen Anne's Lace flower pictured below kind of mimics an icy snowflake. Funny how nature does patterns, isn't it?

This Autumn..

Okay, I'm going to be brutally honest here. I stink. Not as in the "I haven't taken a shower today" sense, but in the sense of "I haven't posted anything here since the beginning of September and really that is just way too long." So, I'm going to have to say, I'm sorry. I've been saying sorry a lot lately, at least that's what I feel like. But enough remorse and diddle daddle. (Which coincidentally, diddle is a word, but daddle isn't? Excuse me, spellcheck. It's in my dictionary.)

Anywho. To the pictures. Maybe the reason I haven't posted on here is because I haven't taken the Rebel out very often. Which is a big no-no. I'll have to add "apologize to my camera and look like a crazy person" to my to-do list. Do you ever add things to lists just to cross them off? I do. All the time. Makes me feel accomplished. At least in a small mental way.

Oh, exciting news! I've started a typography class. It's just really small and probably won't amount to much, but have I ever told you how much I just love typography? Maybe it's because it ends in -ography just like photography. But then again, I'm not into oceanography and that also ends in -ography. My eyes feel like they are at a delicious buffet of words when I look at a picture of words. Maybe I love it because I think typography is beautiful to look at, just like a wonderfully captured photograph.

I thought today I would share with you (besides nonsensical ramblings) yet another flower picture. I was intrigued with this flower, it looks so different than other flowers I've seen. I also absolutely adore the color. What do you think?

day 74: switcheroo

well i had another picture i was going to post here, but then i thought, well, i don't think that i want to post something that personal on the blog for anyone to see, so i opened up my photo editor (i used picasa for this one, i had used my photoshop for the other project) and fiddled around until i had something i was satisfied with. i really like the glittery light going on in this photo.
one quick thing before i close today (because my dad made us dinner! proceed with a sappy awww), It's Time by Imagine Dragons...GOOD SONG. my new addiction possibly. besides instagram. among other things.

day 65: daisy

Meg Ryan said "daisies are the friendliest flower." Pretty true, I think. One of the guys I work with always calls me Daisy; still trying to figure that one out. Anyways, as part of my bottoms up project, I bring you, a daisy.

day 49: gerbera daisy

gerbera daisy. it's like opossum. i'm sure there are a lot more words like it, too, but i can't think of them right at the moment. one thing that i think is really cool about this particular flower is that the middle might look like an individual flower, but  in reality is made up of hundreds of tiny flowers. pretty neat, huh? if you want to read the full article, go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerbera

anyways, i couldn't decide which one of these pictures i liked better for day 49, so i decided to show you two.

day 29: build me up, buttercup

today is so nice and sunny! there aren't too too many flowers blooming yet in my mother's garden (hopefully my recent weeding episode didn't kill them all...http://sevencsphotography.blogspot.com/2012/04/day-10-power.html) but here is one of her luxurious buttercup flowers.

day 21: blossoms

so i've been telling myself all spring that i've wanted to lay under a cherry tree full of blossoms and take a picture from the trunk up. well, i tried it today (although i didn't lay on the ground because, a, i was in a skirt, and, b, it was in a parking lot) and the shot really didn't develop as awesome as it had come out in my imagination. so, instead, i took this picture, and liked it!

happy spring!

okay, so it might not feel very springlike out today here, but look what are peeking through the soil in the gardens across the area.
