I have a good pic of my grampy but I wanted to wait to post it. So I decided to bore you all with my hands. Originally, I thought I would use this one:
But, even though I liked it, and, have you ever tried to get a good shot of your own hand using manual focus? I can attest that it is definitely not the easiest subject I have photographed. But, as I said, there was a but. I remembered the fan on my facebook page suggested, "different ages, professions, etc." So even though I mainly use my hands to type away at a keyboard or click a mouse or write with a pen at my profession, I decided to take a photograph of my hands in action, not at my profession, but, at {you guessed it} my hobby.
I had to use a mirror for this one, but I do pretty much love the results, even though it is by far not the best of my photographs.

around the house
I've been reading lots of blogs right now and have been inspired. I'm trying very hard to make it out of the dark tunnel of no pictures!! So yesterday I took out the Rebel and shot a few frames around the old homestead. Here are some of my winners:
"Life in Miniature"
"Stuck Inside"

mirror, mirror
i've taken a lot of mirror pictures. i just like them. i like playing with the reflections and seeing what i can do with them. this is my latest. i painted a red heart on my mirror a long time ago because i had extra paint, and hearts just make me happy (they just do, okay?)

day 99: my sick sense of humor
july 22.
a double date! i don't know if that connection is something my achingly tired brain concocted, or something that anyone else will get. probably not. okay, i'm going to stop talking gibberish, but isn't that why you've visited this blog in the first place??
yes. this next photo is an example of my demented mind of humorousness. i really didn't think that humorousness was a word and i just typed it anyways, and was pleasantly surprised when i didn't get that ugly red squiggly line underneath it, like i do with most words i make up and the lowercase obsession i have. anywho (<---red squiggly line. grrr...) here is the photo of the day, that you've suffered through reading this post to see..

day 98: fireworks went off!
july 21.
every year right down the street they have the town's community days. i think i went once when i was really small, but every year we walk down our straight street a few houses and watch the fireworks, mom and i. so much fun! i've posted before on the blog fireworks from years past, and this year, since i'm doing the photo a day project, i thought i'd share a few images i took this time around. also, sidenote, this was the Rebel's first year photographing the fireworks. and i think they came out great! it was hard narrowing the decision down to these pics! (pun most definitely intended)
i like the business in the last one :)

day 74: switcheroo
well i had another picture i was going to post here, but then i thought, well, i don't think that i want to post something that personal on the blog for anyone to see, so i opened up my photo editor (i used picasa for this one, i had used my photoshop for the other project) and fiddled around until i had something i was satisfied with. i really like the glittery light going on in this photo.
one quick thing before i close today (because my dad made us dinner! proceed with a sappy awww), It's Time by Imagine Dragons...GOOD SONG. my new addiction possibly. besides instagram. among other things.

day 69: paint
i love to paint. i'm not the greatest at it, but if something is bothering me, or i'm stressed out, or i just am bored, i like to do one of four things: a, pull out my camera and take shots, b, pull out my charcoals, pens and pencils and sketch, c, paint, or d, waste time on the computer. i would say i'm best at wasting time. which is really not good. but hey, we all have our things we're working on. and that's one of mine. so today i decided to paint. and i did. not a van gogh or picasso or anything amazing, but after i did, i felt awesome. and i smile at awesome.

day 63: a palindrome
I love palindromes. The other week someone asked me what one was and I looked at them like they were crazy! How can you not know what a palindrome is? I've known since I was like eight. I learned how to spell it quite recently, however. It's a tough one. Words and spelling. Two of my favorite things. Did I tell you I knew how to spell encyclopedia when I was eight, too? Yeah. Pretty awesome, I know (just kidding. I know this kid who's like three and he knows how to read! That's genius). So today's post is a palindrome. I checked the blog stats tonight and it just so happened to make one. So, what a great idea for a post!

I LOVE PICTURES!
I've always loved pictures, especially the 1950's vintage era everyone seems to love now. I swear I liked them before they were cool, just like I liked herbal tea before it was cool to like herbal tea. Hey, maybe I'm a trendsetter....well.....I highly doubt that, but I just had to say it, for laughs. Anyways, when I'm bored and looking for a change, I pull out the Rebel and snap a few pictures of myself. I posted a few weeks ago about mirror images, and I have to admit, I am a little addicted to them, just like I'm addicted to the song "Sleepy Tigers," by Her Space Holiday, and a bunch of other foot-tappers and in-the-car concerts, that I replay over and over again (it's a good thing I'm by myself in the car when these singing bants occur. Because I think I would drive everyone but myself crazy).
Anyway. Enjoy today's picture. It's a family picture today.
