trees

grew up in the woods. so i consider trees to be...oh, how do i say this without sounding weird? i just like trees. i feel like you can kind of tell the history of a place by the trees. for instance, the tree in today's post has seen all of us kids grow up, and has provided our house with shade from the hot summer sun.

i love the way the branches twist and turn like mazes, or arms outstretched. there's just something about a tree. it tells a story, or you could tell a story about it. and, when you read a book, i guess you could say that the tree is telling you a story. hmmm...thought for the day.

In Retrospect...

I think a lot. Sometimes (I think), I think too much. Whether it's about what to do tomorrow, what I should have done yesterday, or what I might have done in the past, it's there in this girl's brain. If you can think it, it's probably swimming around in my brain. Most of what I think of comes in snapshots, either of the past or some future picture that I want to capture with the Rebel. So today, here are some retrospects:

i always think about taking pictures of trees from the bottom..they all seem to tell a different story
i took this one in the French countryside

there's something about footprints that reminds me of leaving the past..
